The Chicago Botanic Garden will feature plantsman David Howard, speaking on “My Garden Life,” as a feature of the 2012 Antiques & Garden Fair:
“April 21, 11:00 AM: Special Guest and guest speaker David Howard is the former head gardener at Highgrove House for H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. During his lecture, “My Gardening Life,” Howard will take you on a journey of his 40 years of gardening in the United Kingdom including working for H.M. The Queen and H.R.H. Prince Charles as well as training at the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, and the Botanical Gardens in Gothenburg, Sweden.”
The ticket price includes a three-day pass to the Fair (a veritable Disneyland for both antique collectors and gardeners), a $20 value. Highly recommended. This man knows his stuff!
