Beth Botts on a very bad pending decision by the Cook County Board → growinginchicago.com

Garden maven Mike Nowak sums up this idiocy nicely: “There are 5.5 million Cook County residents, and Extension has reached nearly 1 million residents since January 2011 through face-to-face teaching by staff and volunteers, and web-based outreach. 60,000 volunteer hours were contributed by Extension volunteers – a program value estimated at $1,307,400.00 Cutting funds is seriously false economy.”

YOU CAN HELP - see Ms. Botts’s story for how.  And DO IT NOW!
